Forfeits

A forfeit occurs when a team does not have enough players to play at game time, or at any point during a game. This includes teams that are shorthanded because players did no bring proper ID, teams with ineligible player(s), and teams that fall below the minimum number of players required because of sportsmanship. Forfeits inconvenience teams and deny them an opportunity to play.

  1. When signing up, a Team Captain commits to fielding a team for at least five games (including a team's first playoff game).

  2. For each game that a team forfeits, a $15.00 fee will be assessed to the Team Captain. A $5.00 fee will be assessed to forfeits in Individual/Dual Sports events. Forfeiting teams may be removed from the schedule and replaced with a team from the waitlist. The Intramural Staff will notify the Team Captain if this occurs. If a team is not replaecd with a team from the waitlist, the Team Captain is still responsible for feilding a team at assigned game times.
